Welcome to the Mattawan Later Elementary Media Center Library.  Our media center is a vibrant learning place for students, filled with resources, technology, exploration, and literature.  The Media Center is open every school day to serve our staff, students and families. Please come and experience the excitement of learning in the Media Center. 

What We Do...
The Later Elementary students are scheduled once a week to visit the media center for 45 minutes. During this time, students are very busy!  The following are some typical media center activities students engage in during their scheduled visit: book selection, book exchange, silent/group/guided reading, individual Accelerated Reader quiz-taking, book fair visits, researching, using network/computer resources, watching BrainPOP videos, taking part in mini-lessons, and activities with the media specialist.  Additionally, students may visit during the week to do research.Please use this website to stay tuned-in and access useful links for various resources and information.
