Mattawan Early Elementary serves over 800 students in Young Fives, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade. There are 35 homeroom classes with students coming from increasingly diverse backgrounds. The organization of the school accommodates the developmental needs of young children and provides for continuous progress of all students. We work hard to “make big small”, providing each child with a nurtured, yet rigorous, individualized K-2 environment.

Programs for students needing special support are provided in all grades for both language arts and mathematics.  Resource Room and other related special education services are available.  Children receive instruction in music, art, physical education, library skills, and technology/media skills.
